Achieve more in less time

One of the most common complaints in 21st century is “Not enough time”.

Our devices are full of resources and information we don’t have time to research, our bookshelves are full of books we want to read some day, our planners are full of never finished ideas. It’s just normal that we want to know how to change it and make the most out of our time.

Yet, time management tools we have are being forgotten, time management courses are not being implemented and we keep running around like chicken without a head, from one project to another wondering how we can possibly get more done without adding more hours into our already busy schedule. Here are my top 3 tips to help you maximise your time.

1. Know your strengths

Understand what you’re good at and focus on using and improving your strengths. Do what you’re good at and what you like and you will change your life. Do things your own unique way and you will see a massive difference in your productivity. For many years we were lied to by parents, teachers, authors, speakers, even celebrities that their way of doing things is the best way. Just because something works for somebody else doesn’t mean that it will work for you. In fact, you are unique and the way you get things done will be different than how somebody else does them.

2. Leverage strengths of others around you

Once you start focusing on tasks that you’re good at, you will notice that there are areas where you are not so good at. The best way to lower your productivity is to start focusing on those areas and improving them. Let me give you an example. You’re an entrepreneur with a pretty successful business looking to expand your reach and grow online presence for your business.

If you want to waste your time, I highly recommend that you start focusing on researching ins and outs of online marketing, try to build your own website and social media presence while letting your business run on back burner.

Can you see where I’m going? To maximise your time and create the best results fast, you want to find and hire people who are good where you are not. Hire a tech person to build your website, social media consultant or agency to design a marketing plan for your business. Leverage the strengths and skills of others to save your time and create the results faster.

3. Have and follow a plan

One of the top time-savers is a winning plan. Good plan keeps you focused on the goal, helps you get back on track after you wondered away and helps you see the shortcuts when they appear. Keeping your plan in front of you on a daily basis and tweaking it as you go along is surefire way toward victory.

Please keep in mind that plan doesn’t get you anywhere by itself. To turn your plans into reality, you MUST add action!

There you have it – my top 3 tips to maximise your time! Save time by doing things you’re good at, delegating the rest to others who can do them better and faster and following a winning plan.
