O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen on your walls; they will pray to the LORD day and night for the fulfilment of his promises. Take no rest, all you who pray.
Give the LORD no rest until he makes Jerusalem the object of praise throughout the earth (Isaiah 62.6 -7)
As we hear, study and meditate on God’s Word regularly, we get pregnant with His PROMISES. Then, when we DECLARE those precious promises BACK TO GOD in prayer, we receive divine ability to give birth to MIRACLES.
But Jesus OFTEN withdrew to the wilderness to pray (Luke 5:16)
We know that prayer, especially in solitude is powerful and vital to our spiritual and material well being, as well as that of God’s entire glorious Kingdom.
Then, we must shun all EXCUSES, do it and reap the massive benefits.
We must realise that if we don’t plan to seek the Lord in solitude and regularly, the enemy of our life would have access into our lives to steal, kill and destroy God’s goodness, and that could isolate us and rob us of the benefits of effective prayer! Jesus Christ cautioned us.
The thief, the Devil does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that you may have life, and that you may have it more abundantly (John.10.10.)
It is time to pray hard when it is hard to pray. COMPEL YOURSELF TO PRAY!
Read the Psalms aloud, use your prayer list, pray over those names one after the other. Sing praises in between, speak in other tongues for hours while you walk around, do the laundry or dishes etc.
Stay awake and focused, for your prayer is making great impact.
When we’re dissatisfied with where we are in God, He is satisfied. But when we’re satisfied, He’s dissatisfied!
Our dissatisfaction in our spiritual status quo is the only convincing proof that we’re willing and prepared to move forward, towards the mark of our high calling in Christ Jesus.
Hallelujah!
