Sometimes life has to keep us desperate to want JESUS.
Most people already have a lotttt to do daily and have no time to stop for a while – they just want to rush through life with home, work or studies, Netflix, sleep and repeat. We have a sign hanging on our lives’ saying do not disturb.
Jesus has no space there and even if He tries to speak to you, you tune the voice of the Holy Spirit out as an interruption to your tight schedule.
Then a desperate need arises and we seek Jesus out. He always comes through. He will see us through every crises; then we go back to the rat race again.
The Israelites lived this way over and over in the Old Testament. They walked the wrong way, a crisis hit, they ran to God, the minute the solution came from Him, they went merrily back to their old wrong ways.
Jesus loved to have his routine interrupted – first with Abba Father at night, in long hours of prayer. Then he stopped and helped anyone in need, any time they needed Him.
Stop to pray, give JESUS His time. Daily.
Then allow yourself to be interrupted by any people in need – for prayer, for care, for comfort, a helping hand.
Be willing to be alerted by the Holy Spirit – for any chance to love God and love people His way.
Making yourself available to JESUS and then to people around you is a privilege, not a curse.
THAT is the legacy you leave behind.
