Monday Reflection – Dec 11

The hardest part about accepting the saying “everything happens for a reason” is waiting for that reason to be revealed by God.

We blurt it out to the sick, the grieving, the suffering.

The Bible doesn’t say about tragedies or sickness, “It was all part of God’s plan.” The Bible doesn’t say, “God brought this about.”

No, everything does not happen for a reason. Especially today, when the hatred, grief and sin around the world causes intense suffering and pain. When people who are worn out, try to make sense of the pain, telling them God is responsible – does not help.

The free will of human beings matters. God didn’t plant that evil you faced.

GOD does not make evil happen. But God can take horrific events and bring some good from them. No matter what happens, JESUS is ever-present and He will always find a way to bring something good from the bad.

God wants you well. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28)

So if things are wrong and staying wrong, get back into the prayer closet and seek Him, seek Him and seek Him with all your heart, soul and mind.

He will clean the mess, restore you and bring HIS peace.
