The only way you’ll get along with people is accepting them as they are, which is ‘different from you’.
Too many people are walking around wounded deeply by unfair judgments, criticisms and gossip. Relationships often end because of something someone said or didn’t say.
How can we help minimise the damage done in this world due to poison tongue?
True confession to God sets you free; Jesus can heal that part of you that makes you wound people to their faces and secretly behind their backs. Talk to Him about what you think about people, how you speak to them and treat them, even when they are not around.
You cannot treat people right if you think wrong about them.
Start with your thoughts. Talk good about people to yourself.
Then go on and speak good about them to everyone you meet. If someone starts a chain of gossip, break that chain – speak good.
So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you (Matthew 7:12)
Chose to be a positive, nurturing, godly person on purpose.
