Monday Reflection – Jan 20

Starting the day with Jesus and then talking to Him as you move about your day, will ensure that you continue to feel His presence in your life.

Usually, worry hits as soon as we open or eyes. You could have slept poorly and the usual daily stress or the long list of things to do then take over. You may squeeze a few lines of prayer in. The ones who are at peace are the ones who seek JESUS first, stop to consult Him and then hold on tightly to Him.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33)

When you give God His rightful place – worship, praise and thank Him first and things have a way of falling into place. You see healing, doors opening, His favour and daily miracles dotting your day. Satan will keep you distracted and worried. Or mad at God. Or just plain busy.

Do all the talking vertically. Less talking horizontally. People may not be available to help and even the ones who do, may not be around all the time. JESUS is. At 2 am, if you have an emergency or feel miserable and alone, HE is there.

Be sure to take every decision and major struggle to God; JESUS is also the best guide when it comes to navigating life’s tough decisions.

Life becomes a lot easier when HE carries you; He in fact, carries it all. You can then just ride on His back. He is around always to help you. You just need to ASK HIM.

Don’t make plans and squeeze GOD in. Seek Jesus FIRST. Every blessing will follow.
