Monday Reflection – Jan 27

You serve God to the best of your ability, you live an honest life and you try to be at peace with the world. Yet all the blessings you read about in the Bible seem to go to someone else. Just when you are on the cusp of a blessing, it seems to slip away. Worse still, you are surrounded by people who you know don’t honour God, love or help anyone and they seem blessed than anyone you know.

That is GOD asking you to grow up. Promotion in the spiritual realm is for the mature. One of the toughest things as a Bible-obeying good Christian is to suffer and wait long for some help. You wait and wait for a blessing while other people seemed to be blessed in areas that you want to be blessed in.

You long for a job and your best friend brags about his third job offer this week and another brags about his promotion. You struggle to make ends meet while every relative you meet is bringing in more money than you have earned in a while. The wicked seem to prosper and have good health.

Life will throw you some punches. You gotta roll with it.

Sometimes you just gotta stop and channel your thinking into worship, gratitude and praise. And thank the Lord daily for what you already have.

Papa God sent us His Son, Jesus died for us and now His Spirit walks along us as our Comforter. So why sulk? Use every moment to love and serve GOD.

Children don’t serve the family for a legacy or a reward. We serve because that is what we are called to do. We serve because we love JESUS. Full stop.

Serve out of love – not for rewards, recognition, money, title or fame.

Serve GOD and then serve people.
