Monday Reflection – Jan 8

Life sometimes can beat positive God-given imagination out of many of us. Even the little positivity that people work hard to stir up, gets quashed by noon for many – because of bad news, stress, sickness and new battles.

All our lives, satan will challenge our faith with trials, doubts, fears and pain. But he is a liar and the father of lies, as the Word says. He will do his best to keep us busy, keep us distracted and keep us so weary that we cannot read the Word. And even if we do, it cannot take root and grow, because the thoughts and worries of life will choke it out. Its a vicious continuous cycle.

That’s when we have to focus like a laser beam on God’s promises in the Bible. We must be anchored to what God says and not be tossed and turned over by the bleak waves of life. Have faith in JESUS. Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6)

It doesn’t mean that we deny the existence of problems, but we refuse to pay more attention to them than to JESUS and His finished work on the cross and to His Word which can help us our of any battle.

Get into that personal space with JESUS daily and talk it out. Read His love letters to you in the Bible daily. Let the Word battle what you cannot anyway.

Magnify GOD above your problems.
