One of the enemy’s greatest strategies is to remain undetected. Because if you find him blatantly in front of you, you might kick him out, that is, if you are a genuine Christian who wants nothing evil living inside of you.
Most of us are battling legions of enemies. Problems, debt, strife, trauma, parenting issues, marriage trouble, work stress and ministry battles added to the daily grind. But some of the sins are habitual, ones we have often lived with or never kicked out.
And if satan is lurking, he can keep you from hearing the voice of GOD, God’s revelations – our communication with God. Then more sin, pain and messes come in and tag on.
How is sin lurking inside us?
Worship and first place belongs to JESUS alone. And whatever you think about the most is what you worship. Search your life to find out your time stealers. WHAT KEEPS YOU AWAY FROM JESUS?
Money? Career? Success? Piles of emails/messages? A person? Family? Your kids? A title? Your home, car or collections? Ministry? A habit you cannot kick – drinking, swearing, smoking, gossiping?
Whatever you passionately spend the most time on – is a lurking idol. Social media? Your phone? Your work? Socialising? Anything you are addicted to? Any hobby that leaves you with barely any time left?
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33)
Get your priorities right this LENT. Get JESUS back on the throne of your heart. GOD first. Then everything good, in the right amount.
Do not keep GOD waiting on you.
