Monday Reflection – May 10

We have almost hit the first half of this year. The devil makes you focus on the things which you do not have, so that you will not focus on the things you do have.

Let this week of lockdown be about GRATITUDE. No worry, no whines, no regrets, just plain #ThankYouGod. Still alive, breathing without support, healthy, have family, friends, pets, books, the Internet, music, movies, homes, hobbies, clean water, plants, nature, food on the table, money in the bank, jobs, our ministries, businesses, vehicles and the best gift of all – we know YOU, Jesus.

Lord Jesus, You have given us so much; today, we pray for the gift of gratitude. Thank You, Father, for having created us and given us families. Thank You for being with us in all our joys and sorrows, for Your comfort in our sadness, Your companionship in our loneliness.

Thank You for yesterday, today, tomorrow and for the whole of our lives.

Thank You for friendships, for health and for grace, for unknown blessings on their way. For food, water and clean air, for our five senses, all the countless blessings we take for granted.

May we live every day conscious of all that You gave us. Most importantly, thank You for giving us Your Son.

May we never forget the things we have, crying for the things we don’t have. Amen.
