It pays to have a heart check up done – an in-depth look at your inner mind, not just a routine physical examination.

Often, many of us can go through the religious motions – praying, going to church, attending a prayer meeting – but things may have subtly crept into our hearts and lodged  there.

Guard YOUR heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life (Proverbs 4:23) You’re in charge of guarding your own heart, protecting it from malice, hatred, offense, spite, jealousy, anger, revenge, trauma, stress or anything that’s unholy.

Since we do not know at times what is right or wrong, we need to work with the Holy Spirit – to discern what’s good and to keep our hearts right. The faster we can detect a wrong heart condition and get it straightened out, the better off we are. Don’t let satan use your precious heart as his waste bin, even for a short while. The longer that rubbish stays in you, the harder it becomes to pluck it out.

One of the biggest revelations you can receive from JESUS, as a godly man or woman – is about the true condition of your heart. Listen, pay heed and instantly obey.

When you scan the inner depths of your heart, be ready to face some shocks.

Your heart is a treasure. Protect it at all costs. Capture your thoughts for God at dawn, align it with the Word of God. Cast every unholy thing away. Not easy, but we have the Holy Spirit to back us!
