To quote Francis De Sales – to be an angel in prayer and a beast in one’s relations with people is to go lame on both legs. How many of you walk into church mad at someone and may be WITH someone you are mad at? And how many of you don’t worship God or prefer to do it alone just because you don’t want to make the effort to do it with someone?
Something to think about. Any time you feel the power drain away, from your life, ministry, friendships, marriage, relationships, work – get right with God AND get right with people.
Our lives and worship lack power when Satan pokes holes into our spirituality with ‘offences’. Be offended if you must – but don’t let that offence – imagined or real – keep you from heaven.
When you don’t feel anything new coming from heaven, just walk more intimately in His love – with God and with fellow humans. Nothing more powerful than walking in His love, especially on a hard day – that’s a slice of heaven on earth!
