Jesus may not always tell you what you want to hear, but WHAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU.
Eve listened to the serpent and valued his sneaky lies above what GOD said, because the serpent was cunning enough to tell her what she WANTED to hear.
You and I need to be aware of how we brush away what Jesus is asking us to do – daily. If you are a believer, you are hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit daily. Even a child knows when conscience warns him/her not to lie, steal, swear. We should know it better. We may have moved so far away from God. We may even be playing the role of a good Christian, attending church and speaking the right church language. But not obeying God in every small thing. May be its just one small area that is shut out from GOD, but it matters to Him.
The Word says: Obedience is better than sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22) God values obedience more than ritualistic sacrifices.
You already heard God, you already know what He wants you to do probably, but you are either ignoring it or praying it – fervently away.
We cannot ignore or manipulate God’s commands. He needs our blind obedience to weave everything into the fabric of His bigger divine plan. And those who choose to disobey lose out on God’s blessings or face devastating consequences.
We should in fact be more passionate about seeking His will daily and obeying him in every little thing.
Nothing is a substitute for obeying God – not prayer, fasting, charity or more church activity.
Quiet yourself right now. Talk to Him from the bottom of your heart, like He is in the room with you. Get right with Jesus. Make a firm decision to OBEY Him at any cost.
