Abba Father, today we bring to You all the women who love us, pray for us, live with us, care for us and helped us so far to mould us daily into what we are.
We thank You Lord, for our wives, mothers, friends, daughters, grandmothers, sisters, aunts, cousins, nieces and colleagues.
Abba, we thank You for your promise of fullness of life. As we celebrate women across the world, we ask that all women be released into this fullness.
May Your love sustain us, all our lives, in a special way. We, as women, pray for the grace to live God’s love better in this world.
God of hope and love, we pray for the many, many women and girls who still face challenges in their communities, churches, homes and work places – to take an equal place in working, ministering or decision-making.
May women folk in our families, churches, organisations and societies get the respect and care we deserve.
We pray that change would happen and that we will see women living, working and striving together, as equals – with men, sharing the gifts, skills and wisdom that You have given each of us, to bring about real change in the lives of our families, communities, offices, churches and nations.
Lord Jesus, You walk beside us, each moment of each day.
You know us by name, see each joy and sorrow. You created within us women the gentle capacity to love and to nurture.
You gave us understanding and patience in a troubled world. You laid upon us the responsibility to carry and care for new life. You gave us the grace to make homes and raise children.
You crafted in us sharp minds that are able to solve problems and see possibilities and be the strength for our spouses. You desire each one of us to live life to the full, embracing Your love for us and extending grace to others.
Holy Spirit, we lay our lives before You and trust in Your unfailing love. Guide us, heal us, touch us, infill us and lead us, To reflect more and more of You wherever we may be.
Bless and keep all women worldwide safe and loved, Lord.
Amen.
