Lord Jesus, today we ask your richest blessings upon married couples, who hold in their hearts, the powerful desire to bring a child into this world.
Children are among your greatest gifts.
For those who hope for this gift, we offer this heartfelt prayer.
Gracious Lord, we bring to You all Your children who are waiting, longing to hold a baby in their arms.
Lord, we pray for mercy. We pray for the grace to trust You and for strength, especially if the wait has been really long.
May all marriage beds be kept holy. Forgive all the sins that the adults of past and present generations have committed against their spirits, souls and bodies. May their cries for an heir be heard, Lord Jesus.
We also pray that more and more childless men and women will be open to giving orphans a home.
