O Jesus, our great High Priest, we pray today for all the men and women across the world who have been chosen by You to serve you as a priest, pastor, nun or other religious.
May our spiritual leaders be guided by Your Holy Spirit first, at all times.
May their tired hands and worn out souls be comforted by Your constant presence. Let them know that You are always with them, especially on their hardest days.
Give them valiant faith in the face of confusion and conflict, hope in time of trouble and sorrow, and steadfast love – for you, for their friends, families, enemies and for all your people throughout the world.
May the light of Your truth shine through their lives and their good works.
We ardently pray that Your sacred ministers may be clear reflections of Yourself.
May they, with every word and deed of their life, illumine humanity disoriented by sin, and bring us back to You and never cause anyone to move away from their faith.
Amen.
