Lord Jesus,
There is no one who uses the power of words to heal as much as You do.
Yet, we often use our words to hurt and not heal. We harbour unforgiving attitudes, offense, bitterness, trauma, anger and resentment.
Today, we pray for people who inflict deep wounds with their tongue, with their actions and their thinking, without any care for others’ feelings.
We pray that the ones who are at the receiving end can heal, forgive and forget too, by Your grace.
May we become the kind of people who are gentle and loving in our thoughts, speech and actions.
Let the anger, unforgiveness and hatred melt away when we are touched by You daily.
Heal our tongues and hearts. And we choose to forgive every person who has wounded us until this moment, unconditionally and completely.
We bless them. We pray that You bless them too.
Amen.
