Heavenly Father,

We surrender the crisis in Ukraine into Your Hands. As war continues in Ukraine, we ask for Your incredible love and peace to rule in the hearts and minds of all involved – especially the soldiers and the civilians.

King of all nations, we cry out to You now for the people of Ukraine. Rescue them from the hands of their enemies that they may live without fear before You all their days.

We pray for them that have fear of what tomorrow may bring – hunger, loss, grief or even death.

We thank You that in every dark situation, You are working. Even when things seem at their bleakest, we trust in Your grace.

We know that in this world we will have trouble and rest in the knowledge that Your Son has overcome the world.

Lord, You have the power to move in any and every situation. Thwart the plans of the enemy – that he may not use men for wickedness, greed and evil.

We fervently pray for the people of Ukraine – our dear brothers and sisters who are facing the challenges of war.

No more Lord, no more please.

God, we surrender the vulnerable – the elderly, the sick, the women and the children. We pray for people fleeing their homeland now. We surrender foreigners stuck in the troubled cities.

We pray for those in power – the leadership, for the world to intervene on time to avert a bigger crisis.

We pray You would work in the hearts of  leaders and diplomats and decision-makers that love and respect would will be guiding force.

Lord, convict Russia. We pray for all the military forces called to war – bring them safely back to their homes and loved ones.

Your word promises that, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”

We ask that the people of Ukraine may feel safe, loved and secure, and that they would know not only peace on earth but Your real, unwavering peace.

We pray that kind of peace will reign. And soon.

In our Precious Lord and Saviour Jesus’ name we pray.

Amen.
