Craving BBQ, but don’t have a pit? These sandwiches only take about 30 minutes to make. A flavourful pulled chicken sandwich is a really fast, inexpensive way to satisfy that BBQ craving.
Heat 2 tbs olive oil in a crockpot. Add 2 chopped onions. Fry well. Add 5 cloves of garlic. Sauté. Add 2 chicken breasts, 2 tbs BBQ sauce, 2 chopped green chillies, 1/2 tsp crushed black pepper, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 3 tbs ketchup, 1 cup water and 1/2 tsp salt. Stir well, set on medium flame and close the crock pot. Cook.
After the crock pot does its work, all you have to do is use two forks to shred the chicken, which will fall apart super easily. Stir well, to coat the chicken well in the sauce.
Toast 2 slices of bread or 2 bun halves.
Spread creamy mayo coleslaw and make that the first layer. Place some of the chicken mixture on top.
Top it with the other toasted bread slice/bun half.
