Reading this book could start a revival. If brother Yun’s story was ever made into a film, it would be a box office sell out. It will also move you to tears.

It is the intensely dramatic story of how God took a young, half-starved boy from a poor village in Henan Province and used him mightily to preach the gospel, despite horrific opposition.

Brother Yun is a Chinese preacher and evangelist whose life has been marked by both hardships and miracles through his intense desire to reach China with the gospel throughout the late 20th century.

This book gives an account of the glorious power of God at work in china. Many miracles in the Book of Acts are being performed by Jesus through His people, in today’s world, amidst all the persecution.

Brother Yun is also a leader of the Back to Jerusalem Movement which seeks to send thousands of missionaries out from China into the least-gospel-reached countries of the world, most existing between China and Israel.

He now lives in Germany and is married to Deling and has two children.

As a teenager living in poverty, he witnessed a life changing moment which prompted him to determinedly pursue Christian faith.

Brother Yun turned out to become one of China’s renowned house church leaders, a man who despite his relative youth has suffered prolonged torture and imprisonment for his faith. Instead of focusing on the many miracles or experiences of suffering, however, Yun prefers to emphasise the character and beauty of Jesus.

Powerful and inspiring, this true story of brother Yun’s life of persecution in China gives a very moving account of determination and faith despite relentless opposition from the authorities.

Filled with testimonies of truly miraculous events, this book is difficult to put down. Brother Yun’s mission is a calling from God. This book can strengthen your own faith and given you courage to persevere during difficult times and appreciate the freedom people have in the west to worship freely.

It has also highlights the potential pitfalls of modern day worship, without the power of the Holy Spirit as our guide.

“It is not great men who change the world, but weak men in the hands of a great God,” says Yun.

“I feel so sorry that many Christians live in bondage even though Jesus has signed their release form with His own blood.”

Brother Yun’s story is packed full with insight into what’s really going on in the world, with its deceptions and challenges as well as the hope that is available for change.

You can be set free from your pain, sin and addictions, just by asking Jesus to help you. He is faithful.

Paul Hattaway is an expert on the Chinese church and the author of Operation China.

A must read for all Christians and critics as well. This book is an open door to the Chinese House-Churches and the mighty souls where denominations has no role but Christ alone.

“We never pray against our government or call down curses on them. Instead, we have learned that God is in control both of our own lives and the government we live under. God has used China’s government for His own purposes, moulding and shaping His children as He sees fit. Instead of focusing our prayers against any political system, we pray that regardless of what happens to us, we will be pleasing to God,” Brother Yun says.

This astonishing book will form a watershed in your spiritual life.

To quote this mighty man of God. “Do not be satisfied with God’s calling or His gifts in your life. Be satisfied with Jesus Christ Himself.”
