Today, we pray for the people of Lebanon

Lord Jesus, by Your Spirit, bring reconciliation, bring peace to Lebanon, bring life. Rescue those who have been hurt and traumatised, rescue those stuck beneath the rubble. Comfort Your people in Lebanon. We repent Lord for the sins committed on this land for centuries, please bring redemption. Only by Your stripes can Lebanon be healed; please Lord come, raise up godly leaders, humble those who have exalted themselves. By Your great power and great name Lord Jesus, please come lift Lebanon out of the pit of misfortune and sorrows, give the land a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair, as only You can. And may it all serve to glorify Your name, Lord. May You turn Your ears to the cries of the hurting and the broken, may You heal this land, Lord Jesus. In Jesus’ name we take refuge and plead Your blood over this nation and its people. May You turn Lebanon into a garden, into a fruitful land You can walk and take delight in. May You transform the Sauls of this land into Pauls. May You transform the scared Peters into Peters filled with Your Spirit and power. Raise up Your Body, Lord Jesus!
