Popular instant messaging application WhatsApp is down in many parts of the world, including India.
A Meta spokerperson told Reuters : “We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we’re working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible”.
According to Downdetector, more than 11,000 users have reported about the app not working for them since 12:07pm on Tuesday.
The outage peaked at 12:51pm. About 74% of the users are facing problem in sending messages through the Meta-owned platform.
WhatsApp users in India are currently unable to send and receive messages.
